SALSA, OUR PET DELIGHT

Once upon a time, there were three Pom-Spitz puppies born to Musho and Mulan, both pomeranians taking up residence at the Reyes' house. Born last Oct. 16, 2006, Suki, Salsa and Sasha finally went their separate ways on December 30, when they were about 2-1/2 months old. Sasha remained with her parents. Suki was adopted by the Menina's while Salsa came to live with us.

The Tangcuangco household was never the same after that. The little puppy became the "baby" of our family. She simply became the center of our attention.

Then one day we caught her frolicking at the beanbag.

"I'm too sex-eh!! for this beanbag too sex-ehh!!
for this bean bag it hurtsss!!
ye-aahh!! Huh? May paparazzi!!"
She also got interested with physical fitness for awhile and tried her paws to reach for the dumb-bells at every chance she had.

After a day's work-out, she'd get tired and fall into deep slumber. And to watch her sleep is pure delight!

Sssh.... A baby is sleeping...

And then she'd indicate her desire to be bathed and be refreshed.

"Look, this is my bath soap.."

And when her wants and desires are not met she goes into a corner and sulks.

"Hey, Salsa, don't you want your bone?"
But when she's contentedly happy she rolls and rolls on the floor.

She also likes to be cuddled close to our chests. Maybe she loves to hear and to feel the "pitter-patter" sounds in our breasts...

And Ate Nikki

And me!

She can also be an angel. . . only an angel in disguise... because underneath her winged apparel lies a creature that is "impish" and unwise.

Feeling like a real winged angel puppy...

Then last March 16, on their 5th month birthday, the Pom-sisters had a reunion at Tiendesitas. It was obvious they were all glad to see each other again.

They displayed a little "coyness" at the start but soon easily adjusted to each other's presence.

Their "dakilang yayas" were there to keep them company ... ever patiently.

A charming pose for posterity...

Feeling like a "Guard-dog"...

See? I am a good dog....

The entire roof deck is Salsa's domain. In this area of the house, she reigns supreme. Here, she earnestly begs Nikki, her disciplinarian and mentor, to set her finally free. She promises to be an obedient dog, this time. "I promise," she whispers in her ears.
